Amazing food with amazing employees. 🤗
The service was fine, no issue there . There's a pretty view out the front window of the mountains. It's an intimate and casual place . I think the biggest thing I noticed about the menu is that (and this is especially true at Fusion places) they try create a special Niche for them self by over-complicating something that's delicious when done basic and simple. We ordered two rolls of which one was delicious( I think that was the snow mountain) . And the other the "Aspen" had such overpowering truffle oil that we really found it impossible to enjoy and had to pick it apart. They where good ingredients.... But sometimes there's no need to try to create something new when the classic is fantastic. Hope that comes across.Edit. Because of their nice response I improved my rating. Knowing that they are willing to be so accommodating if we came back, is great. Thanks for the hospitality Jing
Very nice interiors with a hint of humor with the lighting that changes colors. In a town with very little diversity, we loved being surrounded by all things Japanese. Chef's special of sashimi was excellent and fresh but totally lacked creativity.
Snow Mountain Roll with hot green tea on a snow-filled day! Delish!
The food was fantastic... highly recommend kale fried rice, the whole fish, spicy tuna and fried rice, Singapore noodles. Everything was great! The service was amazing. Our server made sure we had everything we needed and the host came around and checked on us as well. Go there, you won’t regret it!
Because I work here ;)
Don't do an early dinner as you may not get in. Literally, the door might be locked. We had a 4:15 res, door locked, told us to come back at 4:30. Waited in 11F cold outside. Sat in back where team was having its 8 person meeting, 2 feet from our table for 15 minutes. Spent $800. Not worth it. This place needs help with the basics.
Very good Veggie Eggplant dish and the always good, Basil 'Chicken', they substitute Tofu for me and three crazy good deserts, Choc Lava cake, Choc toffee mouse and the pictured Tea ice cream sushi style roll
The sushi was 4 stars, everything tasted fresh and delicious. Overpriced, but it's Aspen what do you expect. However, the service was the worst I've ever received. We were a party of 4, sat in between two tables of 2. The server checked on the other tables very frequently, but never came to check on us and even forgot one of our friend's order. After delivering sushi to the other 3, we were never checked on again and never received the missing dish. Would not waste our time and money coming back.
Average sushi, excellent miso soup. Everything else could have been improved upon. Great service.
I would say the atmosphere in this restaurant is very nice, although small. The staff is friendly and the sushi is good...however I would say highly overpriced. Some rolls were around $30. The tenderloin fried rice which we have had before, was dry this visit. Shanghai soup pork dumplings were good but didn't "wow" anyone. Overall just okay.
Good food. Good service.
Good happy hour!😁
The food was amazing here. It was bit short staffed due to which there was long wait time for serving but given the long weekend it's understood issue. The portion size and taste was amazing. We ordered Frank's kale fried rice, trout, free range Thai basil chicken and sushi. Everything was perfect. Amazing place to visit for some great food.
The 5 star review was well deserved!! Amazing food, atmosphere and service, thank you for the experience :-)
Delicious food and stellar service. The new style sashimi and truffle fried rice are a must. I’m local and come here almost every week. Erica, Larry and Adam will take care of ya!
Delicious, very kind.. but little bit expensive.
Amazing service and great food! Definitely recommend!
Excellent food but service can be improved.
I’m glad that there is a very authentic Chinese restaurant in town. Didn’t try the sushi or sashimi, but food on Chinese menu are pretty delicious. The service is great, manager is very conversational.Highly recommended Beijing Duck, which is very crispy and not oily at all.Lamb leg is another must-try dish.
Have come here a few times in the last few weeks and the service is never anything but perfect! Even when they’re busy and have a full/almost full restaurant, they still make sure to take care of every guest! The food is amazing and the dumplings and drinks are delicious! The atmosphere is truly fitting to the service and the food. Everything is amazing and worth the night out at Jing!! Deserves more than 5 stars for sure.
Walked in with 10 minutes until happy hour closed. We told the hostess we knew would wait we wanted and would order right away because happy hour was ending. Sat us down at a high top, with menus, waited a minute, then hostess came over and said they would move us to a different table they were cleaning off. So we waited and asked if we could still get happy hour, hostess said she sat us in wrong place because she was new, and sure it would be fine. Then came up and the chef was no longer serving happy hour even though it was still not 6 o’clock. We showed her the time and said there wa nothing she could do. The girl offered no apologies and the staff was no accommodating even though it was clearly their mistake. The staff should know what they are doing or take responsibility for their actions. Very frustrating and incompetent service. Extremely disappointed and will not return. With so many choices in Aspen I would stay away from this place.
Dropped in for dinner one evening with friends. We had started the night off with sake bombs, but before we could take them we heard Frank needed to come by and lead the chant. Frank is a charismatic character and helped us make our night one to remember. The food was delectable and the interior is clean, modern and warm with the right amount of lighting. I would recommend this place for a fun start to your night out.
The host was extremely rude, when we entered the restaurant not only did he try and cram us into their incredibly small waiting/host area, but after stating that no tables were available, didn’t even offer us a wait time. If you want good Asian food, don’t waste your time at Jing!
Because Jing is fun and good
Favorite spot for locals, great sushi, excellent service. Highly recommend the kale fried rice and new style sashimi. Portions are perfect size for sharing and staff is super friendly!
My favorite place for sushi in Aspen, this place has it all! The food was fresh and delicious... it was so great we ate there three times over Labor Day Weekend. The bartender & GM - Michael took care of us, he’s the best! He gave us the perfect recommendations for food and was fun to chat with. Thanks Michael! Jing will always be one of our stops when we visit Aspen.
Awesome experience! Great food and wonderful customer service. Frank the owner is a legend!!
Great happy hour food discounts considering Aspen prices.
Excellent food! Best edamame dumplings I’ve eaten yet. Service was slow but it appeared they were understaffed. I will be back to check this energetic place out!
Erica at the bar is awesome! Excellent suggestions on some of the finest rolls beautifully presented in a crisp clean modern setting.
Great food great service!!
Food was amazing! Lots of variety, sashimi was fresh and thick cut. I would highly recommend the bluefin truffle app and any of the cocktails. The service was stellar!!
Excellent cuisine, service and fun atmosphere
Food and service are good. But highly overpriced. The place is nothing special, I don't understand why a portion of rolls is $25-$35 here. Also they included 20% tips in the check. Didn't notice that and left 20% on top of it, but that's my fault.
Beware of the thief amongst the staff! My coat returned without my vaporizer, that I intentionally left in the left breast pocket, as I did remove my wallet from the same pocket before I handed the coat over to a staff member.Anyway, my bad for trusting at all. Won't happen there again...The bartender Libby was very pleasant, accommodating and makes a great drink. The food was delicious. So someone decided to reply to my comment after 365 days. Well I guess that explains everything. If the coat was handled with care, nothing would have fallen out of the pockets. They are made to keep things in unless you turn them upside down...Furthermore, I did go back in and mention it and left my personal contacts.Maybe your trustworthy and respectful staff did bring to your attention a year ago.
Yum!!! Great food and service! Highly recommend!
If you're looking for fine Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price, this is the perfect place! With Sushi rolls starting at $7.00 you can't beat that! Calming atmosphere, fast service, and beautiful food presentation!
Best sushi in Aspen! Always fresh and tasty. Amazing and friendly stuff. Definitely best value for money in town! You MUST try
Great sushi, wonderful place for a date night.
Wait staff is amazing. I love the waitress, Lily! She is always charming and accommodating. I don’t see her much during the busy season out front unfortunately, which is a bummer. She is certainly knowledgeable about the menu and since I’m local I know she has been working this location far before the remodel. As far as the food - you really can’t go wrong. Especially for the sushi lovers. My personal favorite is the Kobe beef sliders. Hoping the New remodel & refresh thrives!
Sushi masters are super kind and dedicated into making a high quality sushi.
Amazing staff and tasty cusine!
Best Sushi ever....Frank is the best !!!
Had a date there with my fiance for her birthday. Service was slow, our prawn was very under cooked but what bothered us the most is that the chef visited every table but ours. He even looked in our direction and passed us by. Will not be visiting or recommending this place in the future.
One of my favorite places in Aspen! I came here twice on my trip! The outdoor seating was really nice. Dog friendly, which was perfect because I had my dog with me. The service was great too! There are a lot of delicious items on the menu but I definitely recommend: Gyoza-Pan Fried Dumplings, Chicken Satay & Volcano Roll.
While Jing was serving on their patio, we opted to eat in the park! We are GF and I am normally a little concerned ordering over the phone, but Jing made it easy as all their food is made with GF soy sauce and they are very aware of cross contamination. I ordered Frank’s Truffle Kale Fried Rice(black truffle, kale, shiitake, edamame, onion, egg) and a salmon sashimi. It was absolutely amazing! Very fresh, the blend of the flavors were superb and the take-out service was excellent. I would definitely recommend Jing in Aspen!
Overpriced, loud, and arrogant and impolite staff. Portions are small for the price but the lobster dumplings were tasty. Not very memorable Valentines dinner as a result.
Super fun place! We went with a party of ten and were well taken care of by Erika and staff. Well made drinks and the food was amazing with great variety. Notable food items for the table were: (Sushi) Aspen rolls & yellowtail - new style & truffle *YUM* (Dumplings) Shanghai soup dumplings (Non-Sushi) mini Kobe beef tacos, shell-on spicy Jumbo Prawns (Like whoa) Overall a great experience.
Amazing happy hour and friendly staff
